M2K Entertainment – Return and Cancellation Policy
This policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds related to services and rentals provided by M2K Entertainment (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking our services, you (“the client”) agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Booking and Payment
- A deposit or full payment is required to confirm any booking. The specific amount of the deposit will be communicated at the time of booking.
- This deposit will be returned to the client in full, provided the rented equipment is returned in the same condition as it was when rented. If the equipment is returned damaged, the deposit will be retained to cover repair or replacement costs.” in section 2.
- No work, service, or rental will commence until the required payment is received and confirmed.
2. Cancellation by the Client
- Service Only (e.g., DJ, Rental of standard, non-customised items):
- Clients may cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled event date and receive a full refund of the amount paid.
- Service with Items (e.g., Rental with Decorations, Rental of customised items):
- If items are purchased specifically for the client’s event (and are not part of our standard rental stock), or if items are customised, the following applies:
- If the booking is cancelled more than two weeks (14 days) prior to the event date, we will refund the amount paid, less the cost of any purchased or customised items, and any labeling costs incurred.
- If the booking is cancelled two weeks (14 days) or less prior to the event date, no refund will be provided.
- If items are purchased specifically for the client’s event (and are not part of our standard rental stock), or if items are customised, the following applies:
- All Bookings
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable) to [Your Official Company Email Address]. The date the written cancellation is received will be considered the date of cancellation.
- M2K Entertainment will confirm all cancellations in writing.
3. Refund Process
- Refunds will be processed within [Number, e.g., 7-14] business days of the cancellation confirmation.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, whenever possible.
4. Our Right to Cancel (Exit Clause)
- M2K Entertainment reserves the right to cancel any booking under the following circumstances:
- Failure of the client to provide necessary information or access to the venue.
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including, but not limited to:
- Severe weather conditions.
- Acts of God.
- Equipment failure (where a suitable replacement cannot be provided).
- Venue closure or unavailability.
- Staff illness or unavailability (where a suitable replacement cannot be provided).
- The client’s failure to pay any outstanding balance by the agreed-upon date.
- If the client or their guests engage in abusive, threatening, or unacceptable behavior towards our staff or contractors.
- If the event is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for our staff or equipment.
- In the event of cancellation by M2K Entertainment, we will:
- Make reasonable efforts to offer the client a suitable alternative date or service, if possible.
- If an alternative is not possible or acceptable to the client, we will refund all monies paid, except in cases where the client is in breach of contract.
- M2K Entertainment will not be liable for any consequential losses or damages incurred by the client as a result of our cancellation, limited to the total amount of the booking.
5. Liability
- M2K Entertainment’s liability for any claim, loss, or damage arising from the provision of our services shall be limited to the total amount paid by the client for the booking.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring the venue is suitable and safe for the provision of our services and equipment.
- Clients are liable for any damage caused to our equipment by the client or their guests, beyond normal wear and tear. The client will be charged the full replacement cost for any damaged items.
6. Acceptance of Terms
- By making a booking with M2K Entertainment, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Return and Cancellation Policy.
7. Governing Law
- This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
8. Amendments
- M2K Entertainment reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Any amendments will be communicated to clients and will apply to all new bookings.
